You will be provided Yellow fever vaccination Certificate (International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis also called Yellow Card) once you get the Yellow fever vaccination shot.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is valid only:
# if the vaccination used is a WHO approved vaccination and
# if yellow fever vaccination centre is designated by the Health administration for the territory in which that center is situated e.g. for India the centre is approved by MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE.

Validity of Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is for period of ten years, beginning ten days after the date of vaccination or, if revaccinated within such period of ten years, from the date of revaccination. The validity shall extend until the date indicated for the particular vaccination or prophylaxis.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate must be signed by a Medical practitioner or other person authorized by the National Health Administration in his own hand. His official stamp is not an accepted substitute for his signature.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate shall be fully completed in English or in French. They may also be completed in another language, in addition to either English or French.

Any amendment of Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, or erasure, or failure to complete any part of it, may render it invalid.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate shall in no circumstances be used collectively. Separate certificates shall be issued for children, wife and other family members.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is proof of vaccination to enter certain countries. Travelers without the certificate could be given the vaccine upon entry or detained for up to 6 days to make sure they are not infected. Cases may vary depending upon the country of visit.

  1. 1st get papers for Rs 10 from Block /Building 40 OPD. This is issued on all days after 8 AM. Recommend to come 1 day before and get papers done.
  2. Keep 2 copies of your passport with you.
  3. On monday go to room NO. 80 collect a token from there.
  4. Complete a form which will be given to you.
  5. Filled form and passport copies will be checked.
  6. Pay INR 300 fees for vaccine. Fees may be collected there only.
  7. Afterwards you will be given Yellow Fever vaccine and told to wait 30 mins till your Yellow fever vaccination certificate is prepared and also to check for any side effects.
Expect some chaos as its a Govt hospital and same being a new Yellow Fever Vaccination center in Pune. Expect everything to finish within 2 to 2.5 hours.
