2nd mates for deck rating

Any idea about rules for deck rating to appear second mates from INDIA after GP rating Course

  If u hav 10+2 (pcm)  u can appear for 2nd mate
  go through DG Shipping Circular notice of 2008.

  DG Shipping lengthened the Process for 2nd Mate for GP Rating in 2012. Would recommend you to please check

  ALL Ratings/non officer ranks have to appear for NCV (near coastal voyages) examination and course, before going for IInd Mate(FG) examinations.
  As per the latest procedure set by the Directorate.
