ASM Calculations
Hi guys, was thinking of posting solved examples of the various laytime and loading / loadline calculations from past ASM papers. Its going to take me some time to collate and publish the data....so was debating on whether the effort is going to be worth it? Any thoughts on the matter?
Hi mayukhpb, Its a wonderful Idea which will certainly help Others.
I have found people in doubt as to which Question was asked which year and how and why do we do it in a particular way. Sure your answers will become a ready reference for all the users and who knows the discussion would continue and ppl learn from each other far better way then between closed groups.
Thanks for your Contributions anyway.
Hi Admin,
Thanks for the encouragement. I too think it would be useful reference material. I'll see what I can do!! Your site is really useful and contains great stuff, but there is one small point that I'd like to make about your downloads section. Why can’t it be subdivided by rank (ie all, master, chief mate, second mate, etc). It would allow a user to obtain the material that he wants quickly and directly, instead of having to go through the whole section page by page searching for relevant matter relating to his rank.

Mayukh.
Hi mayukhpb,
Have modified the Downloads Section as per your Feedback. Trust it solves the Problem and Allows you to categories it as per Rank.
Thanks again
Hi Admin,
Just went through the downloads section. Great!! Its much more user friendly now wrt searching for pertinent information.
I have just completed part 1 of laytime calculatons. The next parts shall (and hopefully I shall have the time to compile them) deal with only solutions to past papers, or that is the plan at the moment..
I am also planning to start a new thread on the subject. It would be great if you could take a look at the uploaded file and put in your inputs for possible improvements, etc.
Regards,
Mayukh.
Hi mayukhpb Hatz off to you for all your efforts ...believe me, it will help a lot of merchant Navy mariners.

Thanks again Friend.
Hi Jahajee,
Thanks for your inputs. I am in the process of preparing the second part.

Mayukh.
