HELLO EVERY ONE, I AM A GP RATING CANDIDATE, NOW WORKING IN A TUG AS A OILER, I WANT TO APPLY FOR A WATCH KEEPING. BUT I DON'T KNOW THAT WHAT ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ISSUING A ENGINE ROOM RATING WATCH KEEPING? IS THERE ANY DIFFERENT BETWEEN SHIP AND TUG WATCH KEEPING CERTIFICATE? PLEASE HELP ME.

0 Watchkeeping are issued depending on whether your ship/tug was Foreign Going (FG) or NCV (Near Coastal Vessel) so please confirm from your CDC which type of TUG was it.
We are sorry we do not know list of documents required or procedure for same, please do share your experience to help others if you learn about it. Thanks in advance. - X

0 thanks for your precious reply about watch keeping. My company name is KEI-RSOS MARITIME LTD. and the vessel is tug VEGA(IMO 9293703, BHP 3700, GRT 299). this is coastal tug. I have completed the tar book, but how much sea time is require for eng watch keeping?

0 Hi HEM RAUTELA, now I working in Kei Rsos Maritime ltd., a Seagoing Tug M.T. VEGA, 3600bhp, 299grt as an engine rating. I want to apply for watch keeping. How much sea time required....and my company agent told me that company will apply watch keeping certificate online and I will gate it by post at home....is this possible....and one thing more in tar book I should sigh by chief engineer or second engineer?
