ETO good career option after BE electrical?

Hi everyone!
I am new to Jahajee. I stumbled upon the older posts likehttps://www.jahajee.com/ETO-as-a-career/3044.html. I wanted to know what has been the change in the scenario after 4 years( that post was 4 years ago)
I wanted to know if pursuing ETO after 4 years of BE Electrical is a good choice?
The course fee for engineering approximately Rs. 4 Lac and after that ETO course fee Approximately another Rs. 3.5 Lac. Is investing this much money the right choice ?
ps. I wanted to be electrical officer on ship ever since i came to know about it 3 4 years ago.
I am in final semester of Engineering right now.
What is the salary as an ETO in
1. Merchant vessels
2. Oil Tankers.
3.Cruise Ships
please guide me.
