Engine department to deck department
I am sailing as tr.wpr and right now onboard. This is my second ship. Last ship also I've sailed as tr.wpr because my eyesight was 6/9,6/12 without visual aids. During my joining on current vessel I shared my concern with the dg approved doc who did my pre employment medicals. He said that I can join the deck department because I am no longer a fresher. Please note that I've not taken watchkeeping so it is possible as some of my frnds did the same. My concern here is that if with 6/9, 6/12 i can change my department from engine to deck and join as tr.os / os . Any DG approved doc or a person who is in contact with a dg approved doc who can provide trustful info is most welcome to reply . Right now sailing with Marshall Island flag vessel(FG).
