>> The Online UK Visa Application form consists of different sections including :

 # PREVIOUS APPLICATIONS AND TRAVEL HISTORY
 # YOUR VISIT > GENERAL VISITOR   YOUR STAY IN THE UK   FRIENDS AND FAMILY
 # ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

>> Each section has set of details to be filled (self explanatory) with explanations/tips available.

>> Of all the sections "EMPLOYMENT AND FINANCES" was the most confusing to me. My spouse is a home-maker/house-wife and following were the details which we filled pertaining to our case for certain Online UK Visa Application form questions :
 # WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES : SUPPORTED BY SPOUSE/PARTNER OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBER
 # YOU STATED THAT YOU ARE SUPPORTED BY SPOUSE/PARTNER OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBER, GIVE DETAILS : SUPPORTED BY HUSBAND, NAME OF HUSBAND - XYZ (replace XYZ with husband name)
 # TOTAL MONTHLY INCOME : 0
 # INCOME FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE : YES
 # DO YOU HAVE SAVING, PROPERTIES .. : NO
 # HOW MUCH OF YOUR MONTHLY INCOME IS USED TO SUPPORT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS... : 0
 # HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND EACH MONTH ON LIVING COST : XYZ (replace XYZ with any figure in USD)
 # HOW MUCH MONEY IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR VISIT : 10,000 USD
 # WHO WILL PAY FOR YOUR EXPENSES.. : MARINE COMPANY - XYZ (replace XYZ with your Company name)
 # IF SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF IS PAYING ... : 0
 # WHAT IS THE COST TO YOU PERSONALLY OF YOUR STAY IN THE UK : 0
 # YOU STATED THAT YOU RECEIVE INCOME FROM OTHER SOURCE..DETAILS... : MONTHLY RECEIVES USD XYZ FOR LIVING EXPENSE FROM SPOUSE - XYZ (replace XYZ as per your need).

>> Once you start filling the form, each form is assigned a unique UK VISA Application Number. Please note this UK VISA Application Number for retrieval of incomplete but saved online UK Visa Application form.

>> With each "Next"click the data is saved and the incomplete online UK Visa Application form can be later retrieved from the said above link.

>> Keep your documents handy specially the Passport while filling the UK Visa online.

>> Before submitting the completed UK Visa Application form you will be asked to revise the same and then confirm. In the end a confirmation page with the Barcode of your UK VISA Application Number will be generated.

>> If there is still an error in filling UK Visa Application form online, please do not panic !!! Once you have confirmed and submitted the form you cannot edit the same filled form. However, you can always fill a fresh UK Visa Application form online and resubmit it.

>> On submission an auto generated email will be send to your email Id given during filling of UK VISA online. This mail is also a confirmation of successful application form filling and submission. You can also use the link in the mail for later retrieval of the filled online UK VISA application form for download and printing.

>> Print the filled UK Visa Application form and stick your Spouse photograph. Your spouse needs to sign and date twice in the declaration section of the printed UK VISA application form.

>> While it is possible to fill the form in breaks and save for later recovery I highly recommend it filling it in one go, if possible.
