LETTER OF PROTEST
I, Captain
the Master of M/V
Discharging cargo of
at the port of
on
acting on behalf of the Owners
hereby request that Charterers/Shippers arrange to discharge the cargo by grade and port of discharge, such that the quantity can be accurately established by draft surveys at the disport(s).
Further I hereby request that where the cargo in one hold will be discharged at more than 1 port any excess of 1 cargo to be off set against any shortage to the other . This is considered necessary so as to properly delineate between the grades and/or parcels and avoid claims for cargo shortages or over carried cargo at the various discharge ports, or mixing of cargo.
If Charterers fail to take such action to delineate between grades and/or parcels as above, then I protest against Charterers decision to load cargo for multiple port discharge without proper separation and hold Charterers fully responsible for all consequences and claims which may arise as a result of cargo shortage, over carried cargo and mixture of the cargo.
Yours faithfully
