Switch to DP vessel

I am a Second Mate(FG). I want to switch over to DP Vessels. Can  you plz tell me about Dynamic positioning system, how to go about it and all the other stuff related to it?

  2. You will need to do the DP Induction Course. Colleges offering that can be found at DP Course in India
  
  
  3. List of Companies with DP Vessels can be found DP Vessel Companies
  
  One word of caution though, DP vessel being smaller ships compared to merchant vessel, roll a lot. Do contact someone sailed actually on DP ships for better understanding of the on-board life on DP Vessels.

  Thank You so much for the info.
  But one thing more...After doing the DP Induction Course will I be able to join the DP 1 vessel's ?

  That is what the experts say ! Don't expect a guarantee though as DP vessels are few and aspirants more in India.
  
  Also remember that the DP Vessel sea time calculation is different for DP 1 and DP 2/ DP 3 vessels, as also their pay.
