Why do we need a separate course for everything?
With a formal maritime training what comes out are the never ending courses,my simple question here to the authorities is that why do you lay out a different course for everything, why don't you combine the courses together to be the part of the mainstream course. If you are appearing for a second mates competency all you will have to do will be a set of courses, why doesn't the DG combine the courses to be the part of second mate function (FG) and make the course to be for 6 months instead of 4 months, this will help the cadets to prepare for their examinations in a better manner ,cadets will not have to run here and there for their courses like what we do today, from city to city we are roaming in trains,we waste more time in travelling,booking courses,paying never ending fee to these institutes, perhaps DG Shipping is also interested in the profits made by these institutes i suspect.
