scope of belize coc and procedures to obtain the same

Dear all

I am a deck cadet with 14 months of training completed. Since the agents demands lumpsum amount to put me onboard,remaining time of my sstp is at stake. While roaming for a vacancy someone advised me to get belize coc and sail as third officer for 6 months or so and give exams after coming back. I would like to hear your valuable reply on the following topics:

1. Is there any time limit from the Indian Maritime University to obtain the BSc degree for a DNS cadet??

2. What are the procedures to obtain belize COC? How much time will it take to get the same issued?

3. Should I do all the advanced courses,GMDSS and ROC ARPA towards belize COC also??

4. Is there any limitations for the belize COC so obtained,in respect of grt or tonnage?? Somewhere I saw limitations upto 3000 GRT..

5. Will the above advanced and modular courses stand valid when I come back for giving exams in India??
