2nd Mate Indian COC renewal procedure

I received my 2nd mate COC in July 2014 which is expiring on 31st December 2016 (validity given only for 2 1/2 years.
For renewing 2nd mate Indian COC, MMD requires 12 months of sea service and I have completed 7 months 10 days as 3rd mate. I will be unable to complete 12 months of sea service by 31st December 2016.

Please suggest any other alternative to renew my COC before expiry !

  I am sorry, but I did not understand your doubt clearly. The requirement of 12 months sailing is in last 5 years and not after you have received your 2nd mate Indian COC !
  
  With the information provided by you it seems like you must have done 2nd mate function course after Jan 2011 ! If that is the case then you were already taught as per STCW 2010 syllabus and you DO NOT need 2nd mate revalidation course. You may NOT need to do Refresher PSCRB Course and Refresher AFF Course too if done within last 5 years.
