I did my 2nd mates from UK.
I want to do Chief mate unlimited from india. Is there any provision by which I am allowed to give chief mate exam in india

1 No there is none. You need to have Indian 2nd Mate COC for Indian Chief Mate COC examination.
Some people confuse DG Shipping endorsement with examination e.g. you can get your UK 2nd mate / Chief Mate COC endorsed by DG Shipping India. People do such endorsement so that they can sail on Indian Flag vessel if need be. Best of luck. - X
0 Once you get foreign COC you are ineligible to give any other exam from Indian MMD ?
Does Sri Lanka F.G COC also endorsed by Indian MMD, so that I can sail on Indian flag vessels ?
