CDC entry mistake
I am Bsc Nautical Science cadet and sailing in European company but this ship have Merchant Navy rank of deck trainee. They take Indian Deck cadet in this rank only. I have been placed by Shipping company in Mumbai they gave deck cadet contract and will give me RPSL letter with rank cadet, however an entry in my CDC as rank deck trainee is already entered ! Is there any problem I will face in giving my exam ?

0 No there is no problem as such. The confusion which your CDC copy may create will very well be solved by the letter which your Shipping Company in India will give. Ask your company to give the sea-time letter clearly mentioned "Deck Cadet" and it should suffice.

0 Is it would be a good option to ask the master to correct this by cutting trainee and write cadet

0 Most corrections on CDC raise more questions in MMD. There is not much difference between Deck Cadet and deck trainee. I still think, what I suggested before is better however its best you contact your Shipping company in India and request them to guide you better. Best of luck.
