So you love Googe Map and always saved Google Maps offline for later use only to find your SD card filling up faster now. How do you delete unwanted offline Google Maps ? Use any of the below methods:

Clear offline google maps using Google Maps Application

1. Open Google Maps
   
2. Slide the menu option from left bottom of screen
   
3. Click Settings
   
4. Click About, terms & privacy
   
5. Click Terms & privacy
   
6. Click Clear application data
   
7. Click OK of the confirmation box which pop-up
   

While this removes most of the offline map, it will not clear all ! It will leave the world map so that you can continue from world map to load your offline maps later. Files less than 1 MB still remains & my personal view is you do not need to remove more.

Clear offline google maps using Android setting

1. Click Menu of your Android phone
   
2. Click Settings from the list of Apps
   
3. Click Apps from list of options
   
4. Click Maps from list of Apps
   
5. Click Clear Cache from App info options. Once cleared your Cache size shall reduce to zero.

Removing cached files by this method may delete cache folder and you may not find even the world map in the Google Maps without internet.

Clear offline google maps manually
You can delete maps cached folder by browsing to :
/SD card/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.maps/cache/
and deleting the cache folder manually.
