DG Shipping approved foreign COC

DG Shipping does not recognize every Foreign administration COC (Certificate of Competency) ! Presently DG Shipping acting as Indian Maritime administration only approves COC issued by four foreign countries

1. United Kingdom (UK)
   
2. Iran
   
3. Italy and
   
4. Malaysia

In simple terms this means that Indian Mariners holding above mentioned countries COC can apply for STCW endorsement like DCE (Dangerous cargo endorsement and GMDSS Endorsement) at any MMD in India. You can find related DG Shipping Circular here.

  Indian maritime legislation. All top 4 ranks applying for Indian eqv need to do that.
