STATIC TEST OF LIFEBOAT

• Done 5 yearly
• Loaded to 1.5 times the Max brake holding capacity of Davit
• Tested for deformation

DYNAMIC TEST

• Done 5 yearly
• Loaded to 1.1 times the Max brake holding capacity of Davit
• Released at max lowering speed
• Tested for deformation

Both done only in drydock.
Also done annually the dynamic test onboard by L/B manufacturing company representative with no crew in boat and lowered at Max lowering speed and checked.
