Multi modal transport operator;
$ atleast two modes of transportation
$ carriage under multi modal transport contract
$ should be the principal company
$ who assumes responsibility for the performance of the carriage
$ takes charge at the place of loading in one country and delivers in other country

Liabilities
$ Respsonsible for any damage or loss to the consignment
$ responsible for any delay of the delivery or any damage arising out of such delay
$ 2SDR / kg or 666.67 per package
$ 8.33 SDR/kg if the carriage is not by the sea
$ claim to be made within 6 days of deliver
$ action against MTO within 9 months of delivery or the proposed date of delivery.
$ not liable if he proves that the loss/ damage was not because of his fault/negligence.
