a. Stop and reverse Engines.
b. Change to high sea suction.
c. Close all w/t compartments.
d. Sound tanks and holds to check for ingress.
e. Check tidal info and possibility of re-floating, if no hull leaks, by adjusting trim/list or jettisoning cargo/stores.
f. Inform Owner, P&I, Company. Inform the coast state.
g. Prepare lifeboat(s) for emergency.
h. Seek tug assistance if necessary.
