Amplitude is the arc of the rational horizon or the angle at the observer zenith contained between the observer prime vertical and the vertical circle passing through the body.
Azimuth is the arc on the rational horizon or the angle the observer zenith contained between the observer celestial meridian and the vertical circle passing through the body.
