water tight doors prevent the ingress and egress of water from either side. They r used in upper deck, A DECK etc. weather doors prevent the ingress of water from the weather side..

Wx tight doors are designed to withstand a greater static pressure than the weather tight doors which is usually designed for withstanding pressures exerted by the head of not more than its height.
