Right of the bat, I extract the safety familiarization check list to familiarize my self with LSA, FFS. Then update crew list, Radar user manual including blind sector, shadow sector must be understood. Nav equipment user manual including echo sounder, steering  system use instructions  ( NFU, Emergency) shall be read through. GMDSS user manual. Master bridge watch keeping standing order, and cargo watch standing order must be read through and signed off.
