Hello friends. I Am Rahul. I have completed my Engineering in Electrical and now i want to join Merchant navy as marine engineer. I have given a exam for trainee marine engineer which was conducted by Global Pacific Shipping and Marine service (Delhi). It is a sponsored course and it is sponsored by Seastar ship management pvt. ltd. Any body know about this course.
I adding the link http://merchantnavy.co/trainee_marine_engineer_at_uk.html
Dear Rahul, I checked the Global Pacific Shipping and Marine service link.
It is not DG approved Course and the link truthfully details that all further exams needs to be done from UK and not India . Obviously the College does not have DG approved college Identity or INDOS NO too.
While Seastar Ship Management may be a RPSL approved shipping company but I was unable to find anywhere written on their website about their placement company.
I do not intend to say that the college/company is genuine or fake but simply that they are not following the Indian System so neither the college nor the company is approved by the Indian DG Shipping ! Also a bit googling bought me to this link. Best of luck.
Global Pacific Shipping and Marine service also provides Maritime course for DNS or Diploma in Nautical Science which they claim to be DG Shipping approved. Strangely they are not listed in DG Shipping website !
This detail was asked at Join Merchant navy after Computer engineering. To me it seems like they are acting as a manning agent in liaison with some DG approved college. The website does not detail which college they send cadets for training. I am also unsure whether they charge the cadet for this service (read costly going through them) or the Concerned College they man. This assumption also goes with a trust that they are not faking themselves as a DG approved college.
