Special Compensation P & I Clause. It is a supplement to LOF and can be incorporated with it by striking off appropriate Yes/No in the Box no 7 upon agreement of both the parties. It was first introduced in the year 1999 and later amended and was effective from 01/01/2000 called SCOPIC 2000. There were some ambiguities in article %u2013 14 of International convention on Salvage.
The ambiguities were taken care of by providing a method of assessment calculation of remuneration which is an alternative method given in Article %u2013 14. SCOPIC gives a tariff rate for tugs / equipments used.

Criteria for claim compensation is that the state should be a member of fund convention.
150000 T is the contribution criteria.that's reason all state party to fund convention can claim for compentation,wheather they contribute to fund or not.
