    yes we can discharge bilges from the engine room provided..vessel is enroute,the effulent is passed with oil filtering eqipment as per rey 14.7.bilge water doeas not originates from pumproom,bilges water is not mixed with cargo residue and the oil content without dilution should be less then 15 ppm

        the bucket contains heeling error magnets. this can be raised or lowered with the help of a CHAIN.

              pivot point is that point about which the vessel turns. while going ahead, pivot point shifts 1/4th the length of the vessel from fwd. after gaining considerable headway, the point shifts to 1/3rd of the length from fwd. same happens during sternway. in a turning circle the pivot point is the joining of the ships fore and aft line ant the tangent to the circle.
